The 12 Days of Christmas - Day 9

On the ninth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
   Nine Ladies Dancing
   Eight Maids a Milking
   Seven Swans a Swimming
   Six Geese a Laying
   Five Golden Rings
   Four Calling Birds
   Three French Hens
   Two Turtle Doves
   and a Partridge in a Pear Tree

Nine Ladies Dancing = The nine Fruit of the Holy Spirit: 
1) love, 2) joy, 3) peace, 4) patience, 5) kindness, 6) generosity, 7) faithfulness, 8) gentleness, and 9) self-control.  (Galatians 5:22)

...against these things there is no law.

When we spend time with someone who consistently exhibits these qualities, we are bound to behave in similar fashion...not because of a mandate or an expectation, rather because being treated in this way creates a desire to treat others the same.  Treating someone in such a way that they are built up, creates joy for both parties. 

Who can condemn someone for these qualities?  The Lord calls us to live this way, and in doing so, causes others to look for the source of such goodness.

At some point in my journey, I began to see the primary purpose in life as helping other people find the Lord, recognizing that He was calling them to know Him.  When we live out our faith, other people will find the Lord.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. PHILIPPIANS 4:8-9
